Context
Perched on a rocky promontory in Celles (province of Namur), the Château de Vêves is a 15th-century jewel of Walloon heritage, nicknamed “the Sleeping Beauty castle”. The Ligue des Amis de Vêves ASBL, initiated by the de Liedekerke Beaufort family, ensures the promotion and conservation of the site, which won an award at the European Historic Houses Awards 2016.
