Welcome!
This community is dedicated to professionals and people interested in our products and services.
Share and discuss the best content and new marketing ideas, build your professional profile and become better marketers together.
This community is for professional and enthusiastic users, partners and programmers. You can ask questions about :
- How to install Odoo for a specific infrastructure,
- how to configure or customize Odoo for specific business needs,
- how best to use Odoo for a specific business need,
- how to develop modules for your own needs,
- specific questions about Odoo services, offers, etc.
Before you ask - do a search for a similar question. You can search questions by their title or tags. You can also answer your own question.
Please avoid asking questions that are too subjective, controversial or irrelevant to this community.
You should only ask questions that are practical and have an answer, based on problems you're experiencing. Open-ended, debatable questions diminish the usefulness of this site and push other questions off the front page.
To avoid your question being flagged and possibly deleted, avoid asking subjective questions where...
- every answer is valid: "What's your favorite _______?"
- the answer is provided with the question, and other answers are expected: "I use_____ for _____, what do you use?"
- there's no problem to solve: "I'm curious to see if people feel the same way I do."
- an open-ended, hypothetical question is put to us: "What would happen if ________?"
- It's a criticism disguised as a question: "_____ sucks, doesn't it?"
If you fit one of these examples, or if your motivation for asking the question is "I'd like to take part in a discussion about ______", then you should visit our mailing lists. However, if your motivation is "I'd like others to explain ________", then you've come to the right place.
(The above section has been adapted from the Stackoverflow FAQ)
But still:
- Answers should not add or expand questions. Instead, modify the question or add a comment.
- Answers should not comment on other answers. Instead, add a comment to other answers.
- Answers should not simply refer to other questions. Instead, add a comment such as "Probable duplicate of...". However, you can add links to other questions or answers by providing additional information.
- Answers should not simply provide a link to a solution. Provide the text describing the solution in your answer, even if it's just a copy/paste. Links are welcome, but should be complementary to the answer, referring to sources or further reading.

This Q&A community is not a discussion group. Please avoid debates in your answers to minimize the risk of diluting the essence of the question and answer. For a brief discussion, please use the comments.
When a question or answer is voted on, the user who posted it earns points, which are called 'karma points'. These points serve as a rough measure of the community's trust in that person. Different moderation tasks are gradually assigned to the user on the basis of these points.
For example, if you ask an interesting question or give a useful answer, your participation will be voted favorably. On the other hand, if the answer is misleading - it will be voted against you. Each vote in your favor generates 10 points, each vote against you subtracts 10 points. Per day, a maximum of 200 accumulated points can be awarded for a question or answer. The table at the end explains the reputation of requirement points for each type of moderation task.
The aim of this site is to create a relevant knowledge base that answers Odoo-related questions.
Consequently, questions and answers can be edited as wiki pages by experienced users of this site to improve the overall quality of the knowledge base content. These privileges are granted according to the user's karma level: you can do the same once your karma is high enough.
If this approach isn't for you, please respect the community.
